PolyU BEEE Study Tour 14-20th May 2025
Sydney, Australia
Every year, the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU BEEE), offers students an overseas study tour opportunity with the aim of gaining international exposure.
This year, the PolyU BEEE Study Tour 2025 to Sydney, Australia was led by Dr Anthony Chun Yin YUEN, Dr Cynthia HOU, Dr Hilda CHEUNG, Dr Hayley Tsz Wun TSANG. I’m thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey. This overseas exposure provides our students with wonderful opportunities to widen their perspective, enhance cultural understanding, gaining extracurricular engineering knowledge by experiencing cutting-edge laboratory facilities and real-life building architecture and designs. I have no doubt this will foster our student’s innovative thinking and adaptability in the future.
I would like to send my utmost gratitude to our hosts Prof Guan Yeoh, Dr Jin Zhang, Dr Cheng Wang, Dr Ivan Miguel De Cachinho Cordeiro, Prof Richard Hopkins, Prof Kenneth Tak Wing Yiu, Dr Demet Dincer, Dr Chethana Illankoon, Dr Samuel Y. Frimpong Prof Zhong Tao, A/Prof Won Hee Kang, A/Prof Kejin Dong, Dr Md Kamrul Hassan and many other colleagues for organising our 3-day visit across UNSW School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, School of Built Environment, Redback Racing, SunSwift Racing, and the Western Sydney University Centre for Infrastructure Engineering.
We are grateful for the lasting memories and connections we have made during this amazing journey!
