
Battery Thermal Management Series
We work on battery thermal management systems (BTMSs) with the sim to improve thermal runaway and fire resilience of battery packs. This also involved the development of battery materials, including separators and phase change materials (PCMs), etc.
For instance, we have designed our first immersive cooling system and optimised the flow and heat transfer efficiency to address the challenge of additional heat generated by fast charging batteries.


Externally, we study phase change materials (PCMs) utilising a modelling approach to identify the best possible options that can be implemented into the battery module.
