Profile
Hao is a PhD candidate in the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, supervised by Dr. Anthony Chun Yin Yuen. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering with Honors, with a minor in Nanoscience, from Virginia Tech. Prior to joining PolyU, he gained both industrial and research experience in the United States, including experience at Texas Instruments and graduate research at Virginia Tech. His current research focuses on advanced thermal management and fire safety for energy storage systems, particularly the development of multifunctional phase change materials with enhanced thermal conductivity and flame-retardant properties for battery thermal management and thermal runaway mitigation.
